Begin with sharing which devotional from The Faith Experiment touched you the most

How have you ever experienced in your life the reading of God’s Word and it was literally judging the attitudes and thoughts of your heart? Or it (the Word) was convicting you at a “soul Level”?

Bonus Reflections from the Biblical Text

Joshua 1:1-12

Numbers 13:31-33

2 Tim 2:1,3-4

Heb 12:3-4

1 John 5:4-5 & Rev 12:11

Moses would not have been easy to replace as a leader, but Joshua had to keep himself encouraged with God’s promises because he couldn’t fulfill God’s will with a defeated attitude. (Josh 1:1-6)

Being courageous can be difficult when other voices are saying that you should be preparing for the worst instead of trusting God’s promises. (Josh 1:9) Imagining the worst is what caused the previous generation to not see the promised land and Joshua could not let that happen again. (Num 13:31-33)

I’ve got this financial problem. I’ve got this relational problem. I have to give up. I don’t have any choice. We always have a choice to believe God! (Heb 12:3-4)

Overcoming obstacles takes effort, but in order to be an overcomer, you will have something that you need to overcome. (1 John 5:4-5 & Rev 12:11)

Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof…” (Eccl. 7:8a) This is how we always feel after overcoming adversity. It’s not easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is.
