MOVE is a Generosity Initiative to help fund a Generation, Community and Culture. It is an opportunity for everyone to boldly MOVE with God and MOVE in their generosity by joining Lakeland’s mission… because lives are at stake.
MOVE A GENERATION:
(NextGen Remodel)
Statistics tell us that the most important time to introduce people to the truth of the gospel is before they graduate High School. To MOVE a Generation, we want to invest in families and the next generation by creating practical, and inspiring spaces for all our next gen ministries. This will include remodeling existing spaces to adequately meet the needs of the families who call Lakeland home and those we hope to reach through this bold MOVE.
MOVE A COMMUNITY:
(Lakeland Park and $ for Future Site)
A tangible presence within our local community and other nearby communities heightens our potential kingdom impact. To MOVE a Community, we want to 1) invest in creating Lakeland Park – a full indoor play area that will serve families in our community year round; and 2) save dollars for potential church mergers and future Lakeland campuses.
MOVE A CULTURE:
(Digital Infrastructure and Equipment)
A digital footprint is about capturing what is happening here at Lakeland and taking into the digital world in practical, sharable, and usable ways. It includes leveraging our online services, online communities, our impact community resources, video testimonies, and digital tools for personal growth and evangelism. To MOVE a Culture, we want to use every avenue possible within our digital footprint, to take the gospel and the work God is doing here at Lakeland way beyond our borders.
3 Steps of Engagement
Pray Intentionally. Pray that God works in and through MOVE. Pray that His mission is accomplished and that the world around us is transformed. Pray and seek how God is calling YOU to be a part of this mission.
Give Generously. What resources has God entrusted to you? What- would it look like to give in a way that changes you – in a way that MOVES you to trust God like never before? Prayerfully consider what God is calling you to invest over the next two years financially, and MOVE in your generosity.
Serve Boldly. How can you take a bold step in your faith during MOVE? Maybe God is calling you to serve in our Next Gen ministry, lead an Impact Community, or join a digital team. How might you use your gifts to impact someone else?
MOVE is a bold vision for the future of Lakeland, but MOVE is also an opportunity for you to grow in following Jesus! We are calling every Lakelander into discussion huddles during MOVE. You will be challenged, build relationships, find purpose, and more. MOVE Groups are meeting digitally and in person. We have over 50 Groups meeting each week!
