Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin…If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.”       John 8:34,36

Spiritually you are always submitting to something.

What is a slave to sin…or to be spiritually submitting to sin? (Paul describes it in Rom 7:15)

Do I want my allegiance to be toward being a slave to sin, or being a slave to righteousness?

***It’s a willing submission…or a willing allegiance to righteousness…and here’s why it matters. Romans 6:22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

If you’re a Christian…you are free…but the best way that plays out is when we submit our every choice to God……….Pastor Josh
