Gifted – Week 4 DG

Pastor Josh discussed different kinds of motivational gifts such as prophetic, teaching, ministering, giving, exhortation, leadership, administration, and mercy. What steps can you take to develop and use your God-given motivational gifts?

Greek Word-manifestation– phanerōsis- clearly lay it out/ show

Manifestation Gifts – The manifestation gifts serve to reveal/show the power of God.

These gifts are supernatural in nature.

Manifestation gifts are those that reveal the power of God and demand a response. Examples from the sermon include prophecy, speaking in tongues, faith, healing, miracles, word of wisdom, word of knowledge, and discerning of spirits.

Have you ever had any aversion to any of the “manifestation gifts”?

Has your opinion changed recently or over the past few years?

Do you have a greater or lesser aversion now than before?

Have you experienced or witnessed any manifestation gifts in your life? How did it impact your faith?

Can any of the manifestation gifts help us in business? Have you ever seen them used in that context?

Word of wisdom is the supernatural knowledge applied in a wise and godly way, offering insight into doctrinal truth. Word of knowledge, on the other hand, is the supernatural knowledge of facts and information that can only be revealed by God. Have you ever experienced or witnessed the gifts of word of wisdom or word of knowledge? How did these gifts help in the situation?

Pastor Josh encourages the congregation to pursue a relationship with God above all else and to seek intimacy with him, letting the gifts naturally flow as a result. How can you develop a stronger relationship with God and allow Him to reveal spiritual gifts within you?

Gifted – Week 2

In Ephesians 4:11-13, what are the purposes of the five-fold ministry gifts and how do they impact believers in the church grow in their faith?

Pastor Josh discussed spiritual gifts are given by God and supernaturally empowered for His purposes. Which spiritual gift do you believe you have and how can you use it to serve others and grow in your faith?

Pastor Josh mentioned everyone has a ministry gift, and not just staff pastors or those with formal titles. Why is it important to recognize that every believer has a ministry gift, not just those holding formal titles?

Gifted – Week 1

Pastor Josh used the analogy of bikers to show that just as bikers have distinct personalities and preferences, believers in Jesus also have unique spiritual gifts. How does the analogy of different types of bikers relate to the concept of spiritual gifts?

What if we don’t allow God to put his “super” on our “natural”. How is the church adversely affected when people don’t desire to pursue to know their gifts? And what if they know their gifts, but don’t step into them?

Pastor Josh used the story of Peter healing a lame man and Peter’s bold proclamation of Jesus as examples illustrating the importance of discovering and using spiritual gifts.
