Summer Reset – Week Two

 

  • What does the heart reveal about my thoughts?
  • What does time reveal about my thoughts?
  • What do Impulses reveal in my thinking?

 

(Referring to question #1) Were you able to look back at any recent events and see how what was happening in your heart really affected your headspace? Did you realize that you may have been trying to reset your mind without giving your heart consideration? How did that play out?

 

Pastor Michael shared how he noticed patterns forming in his heart of insecurity when he spent time with people that he felt had it more altogether more in certain areas than he did. Since you heard the message, have you asked yourself the question, “What’s going on in my heart?” and immediately discovered there some toxic patterns that may have formed in your heart? How does that affect you? Tell the people in your group how they can support you as you tackle this challenge.

 

(Referring to question #2) Have you ever had reflections before on how time reveals things in your thoughts? Now that you know this, how do you think this will affect you going forward?

 

(Referring to question #3) Will you share of any areas of your life where you feel that “impulse” gets the better of you? (Food, phone, holding tongue in conversation, etc.)

 

Which area of your life could use the personal challenge of saying “no” about 10 to 20 times per day? Will you challenge yourself and ask the group to hold you accountable?
