Summer Reset – Physical Health

How has the start of summer been for your physical health?

Read 1 Corinthians 6:19: Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

20 you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.

Pastor Josh gave the example of driving his brother-in-law’s Mustang. He told Josh that he was driving Mustang, “Whoa, you’re driving this like you own it.” Josh had crossed an unspoken line, yet, that’s what we are doing. We’re driving around in something we don’t own (referring to our bodies). So now, you treat it like you are a steward of it.

Considering the example above, Pastor Josh challenged us with the question, “What should I be adding to or removing from my physical behaviors that will impact my health?”

Read Ephesians 2:10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Pastor Josh’s point on Sunday? You are His creation…Made to accomplish something good with your life…which He planned for you. The point is…How you treat your body matters. Are you physically able to accomplish what you were made for?

Pastor Josh charged us Sunday with Your environment predicts an outcome. “What should I be adding to or removing from my physical environment or behaviors?” So with the end goal in mind, what do you imagine that a summer reset looks likes for your physical environment?
